We’re going to miss you, but we know you’ll do great things out in the world. Come back and visit us in the library!
FYI: You may want to book your Study Room in the Library NOW, before all the rooms and most popular times are taken for Exam weeks. It’s easy to do – you can reserve on the iPad in the Library near the Circ Desk, or do it on your own computer – just check out the Study Room Reservations link on the front of the library homepage and follow the EZ directions. Just remember the Rule of “3” – at least 3 people need to be in your study group to reserve a room! White Boards and other amenities are available in most rooms.
This Sunday, March 11th begins Daylight Savings Time. Don’t forget to set your clocks and watches one hour AHEAD on Saturday night, which means you lose one hour of sleep….(until November).
A very important week is upon us all – it’s the “Fair Use / Fair Dealing” week which runs from February 26 – March 2, 2018. It’s a week coordinated by the Association of Research Libraries, celebrating the importance of fair use in the United States and fair dealing in Canada and other jurisdictions. In it’s simplest terms, “fair use” and “fair dealing” are the legal use of copyrighted materials without permission from the copyright holder under certain circumstances – something students and educators deal with on a daily basis. For more information and ideas on how you can be an active participator, please visit their site: Association of Research Libraries
Happy start of the semester, everyone! We’re here for all of your questions, whether they’re library related or not. You can visit in-person, send us a text, or IM us from the library homepage whenever the library is open (check out our hours here). If you’re looking for information on accessing library resources, check out our new Research Help page.
Here are some other Bryant resources you might want to check out to get off to a great start this semester:
- ACE, or The Academic Center for Excellence, can help you with your homework or review before a test.
- Counseling Services is a great resource if you’re having a hard time settling in.
- The Writing Center can help you learn to write, edit, and cite your papers.
- Dining Services has a website with the hours for the dining options on campus, as well as the Salmo menu (at the bottom of the page)!
- The Bryant Bulldogs site has The Wellness Center hours and the schedule for group exercise classes this fall.
Let us know if you have any other questions, or just drop by and say hello!
